Norfolk Virginian Pilot December 27, 1948

Willard Thomas Gaylord, 64, died at his residence, 508 Cumberland Avenue, 
Norview, yesterday morning. He is survived by two sons, John Stuart Gaylord, of 
Norfolk and James William Gaylord, of New York City. Mr. Gaylord was a native of 
Peekskill, N.Y. and had been a resident of Norfolk for six months.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow 
at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Willard Thomas Gaylord — Funeral services for Mr. Gaylord were conducted at the 
Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home yesterday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. P. C. Blackburn, 
pastor of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Pallbearers were George S. Cahoon, Carl J. 
Fehrman, E. F. Yates, M. W. Morgan, C. S. Mayfield and G. H. Hawkins. Burial was 
in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
