Kill Devil Hills - Victor Gerald Gedmin died in his home at the Outer Banks, North 
Carolina, Sunday, February 19, 2012. He was 87-years-old. Victor was a graduate of 
Virginia Tech. He was a World War II veteran, having served with the U.S. Navy. 
Victor spent a distinguished career in government service, including overseas 
travel and posts abroad, with the Central Intelligence Service. He was the father 
of two sons, Timothy Coleman Gedmin and Victor Jeffrey Gedmin, and was married for 
59 years to his beloved wife, Dorothy Nickerson Gedmin, who passed away peacefully 
in their home in April 2010. Victor was a man of devotion and integrity. He loved 
reading, travel, family dogs, and following sports, especially the New York 
Yankees and the Washington Redskins. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Redeemer 
Catholic Church, Kitty Hawk, on Friday, February 24, at 10 a.m. with Father Nick 
Waseline, OSFS officiating.
