He appeared to be in his usual health when friends were chatting with him a few minutes before he was observed to stagger and fall to the floor. Doctors were summoned, but efforts to revive him were unavailing. Leon Nowitzky, special coroner’s investigator, was called and after viewing the body, announced no coroner's inquest would be held. Mr. Geermann had been employed at the store for many years and was well known in business and social circles here. He had been a resident of Norfolk for 30 years. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Anna Marie Crame Geermann; a son, Bernard W. Geermann; three grandchildren, a sister and two brothers. Funeral services will be conducted at Sacred Heart Catholic Church tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
