Virginian Pilot December 2, 1970

Mrs. Agnes Carty Geermann, 96, of the Kempsville Road, the widow of Bernard 
Geermann and a daughter of John and Mrs. Mary Cotton Carty died in a hospital 
Tuesday morning.
A lifelong resident of Norfolk, she was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic 
Church. She formerly worked for W.G. Swartz Department Store.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
A Requiem Mass will be said in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Thursday at 10 a.m. 
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
The Rosary will be recited in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments tonight at 7:30

GEERMAN, MRS. AGNES CARTY — In a Norfolk hospital, Tuesday, MRS. AGNES CARTY 
GEERMAN, widow of Bernard Geerman, and daughter of the late John and Mrs. Mary 
Cotton Carty, in the 97th year of her age. The body will be taken from H. D. 
Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for a requiem 
mass to be celebrated Thursday at 10 o'clock. Burial, St. Mary's Cemetery.
