Virginian Pilot November 13, 1957

Mrs. Charlotte A. Geiger, 46, wife of Edward J. Geiger and daughter of Mrs. 
Gertrude Day and the late William Howard Ayers, died yesterday at 8 a.m. at a 
Norfolk hospital.
Mrs. Geiger was a native of Pittsburgh, Pa. and had been a resident of this 
section for 16 years, residing at 728 Land St., Maple Hill, at the time of her 
death.
Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by three sons, James Edward 
Geiger, Michael Howard Geiger and Thomas Robert Geiger and two daughters, Miss 
Edith Claire Geiger and Miss Vivian Anne Geiger, all of Norfolk; two brothers, 
Edward C. Ayers, USAF and William H. Ayers, of Cleveland, Ohio and one sister, 
Mrs. Vivian Dougherty, of Sarasota, Fla.
The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to St. Mary's 
Catholic Church for services Friday at 10 a.m.  Burial will be in St. Mary's 
Cemetery. Rosary services will be conducted at the funeral apartments Thursday 
at 7:30 p.m.

NORFOLK — Funeral services for Mrs. Charlotte A. Geiger, wife of Edward J. 
Geiger, who died Thursday at a Norfolk hospital, were conducted at St. Mary’s 
Catholic Church yesterday at 10 a.m. by the Rev. Peter Schouten, pastor. The Rev 
John J. Bannon, the Rev. Urban Lux and the Rev. Richard J. Burke were present in 
the sanctuary. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The pallbearers were William 
Flynn, Robert Dean, B. H. Hildebrand, James V. Case, Stephen J. Henesy and 
Walter B. Savage.
