Virginian-Pilot  December 28, 1955
Edward Michael Gelardi, 67, son of Michael and Mrs. Michaelina Gelardi, died 
yesterday at 11:15 a.m., at a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Gelardi was a native of Italy and had been a resident of Norfolk for 44 years, 
residing at 2741 Dunkirk Avenue at the time of his death.
Surviving are three sons, Michael F. Gelardi, Edward M. Gelardi and Manuel 
Gelardi, of Norfolk; two sisters, Miss Josephine Gelardi, and Sister Giustina 
Erminia, of Italy; three brothers, David Gelardi, of Italy, Dionigi Gelardi, of 
Summerfield, Mass., and Ulderico Gelardi, of Norfolk.
The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to St. Mary's 
Catholic Church for funeral services Friday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. 
Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary services will be conducted at the funeral apartments 
tomorrow at 7:30 p.m.
