NORFOLK — Mrs. Alma Gelsomini, 37, wife of Ferman J. Gelsomini and daughter of the 
late Joseph and Mrs. Catherine Flowers, died Tuesday at 9:50 p.m., at the U.S. 
Naval Hospital, Portsmouth.
Mrs. Gelsomini was a lifelong resident of Norfolk, residing at 3308 Somme Ave.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, James Randolph Gelsomini, of 
Norfolk; three brothers, Michael Flowers and Nicholas Flowers, also of Norfolk, 
and Ned Flowers of Lynchburg; two sisters, Mrs. Rose Whiting and Mrs. Virginia 
Cinnamo, both of Coronado, Calif., and nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.
The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Christ the King 
Catholic Church for services Saturday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s 
Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the funeral apartments Friday at 7:30 
p.m.
