"Pat" Gerloff, 75, of the 2000 block of Eagle Rock Road, died Nov. 14, 1999, in a Virginia Beach hospital. Mrs. Gerloff, born in Richmond, was the daughter of the late Margaret Marrin Bernardini and Frank M. Bernardini. She was the widow of John B. Gerloff Sr. She was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Virginia Beach. Mrs. Gerloff was retired from Life Savings Bank and was also a retired schoolteacher with the Virginia Beach School System. Survivors include two daughters, Julie Gerloff Santos and her husband, Dennis, of Virginia Beach, Patricia Gerloff Gilbert and her husband, Benny, of Chesapeake; three sons, G. Chris Gerloff and his wife, Robin, of Norfolk, John B. Gerloff Jr. and his wife, Madeline, of Houston, Texas, and Michael G. Gerloff and his wife, Vickie, of Virginia Beach. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Peggy Gerloff Bogan. Also surviving are her four sisters, Ann B. Girardeu of Jacksonville, Fla., Anita B. Flynn of Arizona, Theresa B. McGirt of Charles City, Va., and Frances B. Flemming of Quinton, Va.; one brother, Marrin Bernardini of Orlando, Fla.; her 13 grandchildren, Jodi B. Harper, Nancy Bogan, Todd Bogan, Staci Gerloff, Dennis Santos Jr., Patrick Santos, Christopher Santos, Jonathan Santos, Ryan Santos, Benjamin Gilbert, Jacqueline Gilbert, Amanda Gerloff and Nichole Gerloff; and one great-grandson, Joshua Gerloff. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Norfolk. A Christian Wake service will be said at 7 p.m. today in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Laskin Road Chapel.
