Gerloff Welding Co., died
 Sunday in a hospital. A native of Woodhaven, Long Island, N.Y., he lived here most of his life. He was the husband of Mrs. Marie Coogan Gerloff and a son of Charles W. and Mrs. Mary Buckley Gerloff. He served on the Mexican Border with the Norfolk Light Artillery Blues and during World War I was in France from 1917-1919 with 112th Headquarters Co. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society, the Nocturnal Adoration Society, and Knights of Columbus. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Michael Cashin Baecher of Norfolk; two sons, Edgar J. Gerloff Jr. of Virginia Beach and James G. Gerloff of Richmond; three sisters, Mrs. Leon Gilbert and Mrs. Matthew Walsh of Norfolk, and Mrs. Orion Overton of Newport News; two brothers, Sylvester Gerloff and Charles W. Gerloff of Norfolk; 15 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. The Office of the Dead will be said in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, tonight at 7:30. A funeral service will be held in Christ the King Catholic Church Tuesday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
