The Norfolk Virginian Pilot August 3, 1939
Jaquelin Meredith Gerow, aged 53, son of Mrs. Dorothea Meredith and the late 
James William Gerow, died at his residence, 619 Redgate avenue, last night at 
8:47 o'clock. Mr. Gerow was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk. He was 
deputy collector of the U. S. Bureau of Internal Revenue. Besides his wife, 
Mrs. Estelle Cole Gerow, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Raymond Lee 
Lofton; one son, Jaquelin Meredith Gerow, Jr., both of Norfolk; his mother, 
Mrs. Dorothea Meredith Gerow, of Wide Water, and two sisters, Miss Ethel W. 
Gerow and Mrs. Thomas D. Christian, both of Midlothian.

The body was taken to the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial 
avenue, pending funeral arrangements.
