The body will be at McGovern funeral home until the time of service. Born March 6, 1895, in Norfolk, Va., she was educated at Sweet Briar college in Virginia. She was the wife of Dr. Robert B. Gibson, professor of biochemistry at the University of Iowa. Mrs. Gibson was one of the organizers of the Iowa City Civic Music Association and served as the group's president. She was a member of the alumnae group of Gamma Phi Beta, social sorority. Mrs. Gibson was a member of Trinity Episcopal church, the Altar Guild, the Pan- American club, the Raphael club, and the Iowa City Pan-Hellenic Association. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two brothers, George Tait, in the U.S. diplomatic service in Belgium, and Robert Tait of Waterford, Va.; a sister, Mrs. Harry Caperton of Beckley, W. Va.; and her mother, Mrs. Frances Tait of Watertown(sic), Va.
