Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Saturday, September 11, 1999 
Barbara Ann Gibson, 57, of the 600 block of Crown Crescent, died Sept. 7, 1999,
at Sentara Nursing Home, Norfolk.

Born in Rocky Mount, N.C., she was a former employee of Hofheimers Shoes
Warehouse and was a former member of Covenant Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her husband, Epheson Gibson Sr. of Chesapeake; a son, Epheson
Gibson Jr. of Norfolk; her mother, Oralee McCormick of Norfolk; a brother and
his wife, James E. and Audrey Yvonne McCormick of Norfolk; five granddaughters,
including Ebony Gibson of Norfolk; a nephew, Michael E. McCormick of Norfolk; a
niece, Towanda Blackwell of Norfolk; three great-nephews; a goddaughter, Jackie
Meyers of Chesapeake; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Hale Funeral Home Chapel,
Norfolk, by Linwood Welch, pastor. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery , Norfolk.
The family will receive friends and loved ones at 3128 Cape Henry Ave., Apt. B,
Norfolk.
