Norfolk - Funeral services for John Giddings of 926 Goochland avenue were 
held Sunday in Graves Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Calvary Cemetery. 
He died March 12 in a hospital.


A native of Norfolk, he was a son of the late Isaac Giddings and Mrs. Mary 
W. Giddings and the husband of the late Priscilla Giddings. He recently 
retired from Epes-Fitzgerald Paper Company.


Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Thelma Johnson; a sister, Mrs. Louise G. 
Bell; two sisters-in-laws, Mrs. Missouri Smith of Norfolk and Mrs. Georgia 
Giddings of Newport News; nieces, Miss Margaret L. Gordon of Norfolk, Mrs. 
Vivian Smith of New York, Miss Calpurnia Giddings, Mrs. Christine Williams 
and Mrs. Laura Imes of Newport News; nephew, Daniel Gordon of Norfolk, 
Harvey and Vernon Giddings of Newport News; and six grandchildren.
