Virginian-Pilot and the Norfolk Landmark, Thursday, July 5, 1934

R. Wilmore Giddins, aged Negro, who, as a porter for many years with the C.O. Deal 
Grocery Company, was known to hundreds of Norfolk people, died Tuesday at the 
Public Health Service Hospital on Hampton boulevard after a long illness.

Giddins resided at 778 Lexington avenue. Funeral services will be conducted 
tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock at St. John's A.M.E. Church.
