Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark August 8, 1932

Mrs. Rosa Jane Gilbert, aged 86, died yesterday afternoon at 2:15 o'clock, at 
the home of her daughter, Mrs. Catherine Collamer, 1221 Park avenue, South 
Norfolk, after an illness of five weeks.  She was a native of Rochester, N.Y. 
and had made her home in this section for the last 22 years.  Surviving her are 
three daughters, Mrs. William Shafer, Franklin, Mrs. Flora Nelson, Pomona, 
Calif. and Mrs. Catherine Collamer, South Norfolk; two brothers, E.M. Andrews, 
Madison, Wis. and James Andrews, Ladesville, Wis.; one step-brother, Edgar F. 
Gilbert, Sagowa, Wis.; one grandchild and three step-grandchildren.
She was a member of Chesapeake Avenue Methodist Church.  Funeral services will 
be conducted from the residence Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock.  Burial will 
be in the family lot in Magnolia Cemetery.
