The Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark August 13, 1913
The funeral of Vernon Edward, the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Marion H. Gilbert 
was held at the residence of his parents, 1131 Holt street at 11 a.m. yesterday 
and was largely attended. The service was conducted by Rev. P. Owen Jones of 
Christ Episcopal church. The floral tributes were handsome. The interment was 
in Elmwood cemetery.

Vernon Gilbert, the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Marion H. Gilbert, died at the 
home of his parents, 1131 Holt street, at an early hour yesterday morning. The 
funeral will be held at the residence at 11 a.m. today. Interment in Elmwood 
Cemetery.
