NORFOLK — Maude Gerloff Gilbert, 89, of the 7400 block of Pennington Road, died 
March 14, 1987, in a hospital.
Mrs. Gilbert, a native of Woodhaven, N.Y., was the widow of Leon V. Gilbert and a 
member of Christ the King Catholic Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Gloria G. Cason of Raleigh, N.C., two sons, Leon V. 
Gilbert Jr. of Arlington and John Gilbert of California; a sister, Mrs. Oron G. 
Overton of Newport News; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Christ the 
King Catholic Church by the Rev. Thomas L. Long. Burial will be in St. Mary's 
Catholic Cemetery. A Christian wake service will be held at 7 p.m. today in H.D. 
Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk.
