The Virginian Pilot Saturday January 4, 1964
Izear Gilliam, 59, of 760 Bank St. died Tuesday in a hospital after a long 
illness.
A native of Smithfield, he was a son of the late Sterling and Mrs. Martha 
Gilliam and the husband of Mrs. Angeline Gilliam.
He worked for Jones Tire Co. 12 years and was a member of Antioch Baptist 
Church.
Besides his widow, surviving are a son, Harry O. Gilliam of Norfolk, and two 
brothers, Sterling Gilliam Jr. and Harry Lee Gilliam of Cape Charles.
A funeral service will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. in Antioch Baptist Church by 
the Rev. J.W. Matthews.  Burial will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery with Morning 
Glory Funeral Home in charge.
