Benjamn Pryor Gimbert, 40, of the United States Merchant Marine, died at a Staten Island, N.Y. hospital yesterday at 9:30 a.m. He was a native of Lynnhaven, Princess Anne County and was a resident of North Bergen, N.J. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Claire Jacobs Gimbert, two sons, James Pryor Gimbert, of North Bergen and Charles Richard Gimbert, of Portland, Maine, a daughter, Miss Polly Ann Gimbert, of Newark, N.J.; a sister, Mrs. J.B. Moritz, of Burlington, Wash. and three brothers, Raymond A. Gimbert, of Norfolk, J.David Gimbert, of Bermuda and Frederick L. Gimbert, of Patuxent, Md. He was the son of the late Benjamin P. and Goldie Blitz Gimbert and grandson of the late Mrs. S.D. Blitz. He was member of the Cornerstone Masonic Lodge, of Portland, Maine. Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home at a time to be announced. ****************************************************** Capt. Benjamin Pryor Gimbert - Funeral services for Captain Gimbert, who died in New York Sunday, will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Wednesday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. T.D. Wesley. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
