Gish, Sr., died at her residence, 1533 West Thirty-ninth street, yesterday morning at 2:35 o'clock, after a long illness. She was the daughter of the late William S. and Jane Holland Williams, a native of Suffolk, and a resident of Norfolk for 45 years. Surviving her besides her husband are two daughters, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Schiller and Miss Lillian Mae Gish; four sons, Richard C. Gish, Jr., and Russell W. Gish, of Norfolk, Leslie M. Gish, USA, James F. Gish, USCG; three sisters, Mrs. Hattie Pierce and Mrs. Annie Hackney, of Portsmouth, and Mrs. Pearl Gay, of Carrollton; a brother, W. R. Williams, of Hampton, and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from the funeral chapel of James V. Derry, 1920 Colley avenue. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
