Givens, 28, well-known colored lawyer of Norfolk and a brother of Dr. John Givens, died Friday morning, after an illness of several months. He had practiced only a few years but had built up a large clientele and enjoyed the respect and esteem of many friends. The funeral will be held at Grace Episcopal Church, of which he was a member, at 3 p.m. today, the Rev. B.W. Harris, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery. He is survived by his mother, one sister and five brothers.
