NORFOLK - Marjorie E. Glass, 86, passed away peacefully July 19, 2005, in Tampa, 
Fla.  Mrs. Glass, a native of Norfolk, was the widow of Lt. Joseph A. Glass, U.S. 
Navy retired and a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

She was predeceased by her parents, David Burr and Annie Mae Lawrence Sr.; 
brothers, David Lawrence Jr. and Frank Lawrence; sisters, Madeline Turner and 
Nellie Ann Lawrence.

Survivors include three daughters, Phyllis Rawls (Tim Nolan) of Norfolk, Karen 
Smith (John) of Tampa, Fla., Catherine Shadwick (Shad) of Tampa; brother, Kenneth 
Lawrence of Williamsburg, Va.; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Lawrence of Winston-Salem, 
N.C.; brother-in-law, Troupe Turner of Jacksonville, Fla.; nieces and nephews, 
Ellen Pesko (Bob) of Glendale Springs, N.C., Patricia Weisz (Randy) of Winston-
Salem, N.C., David Lawrence III (Mary Kay) of Burke, Va., and Larry Turner of 
Jacksonville, Fla.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A wake will be held at Altmeyer Funeral Home Monday at 7 p.m.  The family will 
receive friends following the wake until 8:30 p.m.  The family will receive 
friends at Holy Trinity Catholic Church from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday with a Mass of 
the Resurrection to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday by the Rev. David McGuire.  
Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.

Altmeyer Funeral Home is handling arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, a donation 
may be made to Holy Trinity Church or a charity of one's choice.
