VIRGINIA BEACH - William H. Glass Sr., 82, a native of the Brooklyn borough of New 
York, died Thursday in his home at 937 Truro Court. He was the widower of 
Catherine L. Glass.
Mr. Glass had retired in 1972 as a truck driver. He was a member of the Aragona 
Moose Lodge and an honorary member of the Society for the Preservation and 
Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America.
Survivors include a daughter, Alice Fournier of Alum Bank, Pa.; two sons, William 
H. Glass Jr. of Virginia Beach and James F. Glass of Earlton, New York; a sister, 
Alice Garner of North Babylon, N.Y.; 19 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in St. Mary’s Catholic 
Cemetery.
The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, from 7 to 8 
p.m. Sunday.
