Virginian Pilot December 9, 1961

George Jester Glass, 71, husband of Mrs. Frances Burton Glass, died in Veterans 
Hospital, Kecoughtan, Friday at 7 a.m.
Besides his widow, he is survived by a stepson, Arthur Savignac of Bedford, 
Mass. and two brothers, Russell Glass and De Glass of Andorka, Okla.
Mr. Glass, a native of Texarkana County, Tex., lived in this area 40 years, 
lately in Lynnhaven.
He was a member of Thalia Methodist Church, Naomi Masonic Lodge 87, and Tall 
Cedars of Lebanon.
A veteran of World War I, until retirement he was with Norfolk & Western 
Railway.
A funeral service will be conducted in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Sunday at 2 
p.m. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
