NORFOLK - Thomas M. Glassburner Jr., 67, died Nov. 20, 2007, in his home. He was 
born in Jackson, Miss., Nov. 10, 1940, the oldest child of Thomas M. Glassburner 
Sr. and Flora Alford Glassburner.
Mr. Glassburner was a graduate of Frederick College. He became a biology teacher 
and taught at Frederick Military Academy and in the Norfolk Public School 
System, where he was a coach for 30 years.
He was predeceased by his parents and two brothers. He is survived by his two 
sons, Thomas R. Glassburner and Peter C. Glassburner and a granddaughter, Mary 
Elizabeth Glassburner.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Elmwood Cemetery, 
Norfolk, by the Rev. F. Scott Hennessy.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church or to the 
American Diabetes Association.
H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
