NORFOLK - Mrs. Rachel Salsbury Glasser, 85 died in a hospital Tuesday. She was 
the widow of Moses A. Glasser and a daughter of the late Benjamin and Mrs. 
Rebecca Salsbury.

A native of Lithuania, she lived in Berkley section of Norfolk most of her 
life. She was a member of Congregation Beth El and Mikro Kodesh Synagogue, 
Berkley.

Surviving are three sons, Simcoe Glasser and Bernard Glasser of Norfolk and 
Reuben Glasser of Vineland, N.J.; four daughters, Mrs. Isaac N. Glasser(sic) 
of Norfolk, Mrs. Eli Lee Baer of Baltimore, Mrs. Louis Gerson of Cincinnati, 
and Mrs. Herman Gross of Richmond; 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments today at 2 
p.m. by Rabbi Marim D. Charry. Burial will be in Mikro Kodesh Cemetery. In 
lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Jesse D. Glasser 
Memorial Fund of the Norfolk Jewish Community Center.
