Norfolk Virginian Pilot March 1, 1947

Mrs. Mary Margaret Glaxner, 85, widow of Anthony Glaxner, a native of Germany 
and a resident of this section for 25 years, died at the residence, 1212 West 
Thirty-eighth Street, yesterday at 2:25 p.m.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Margaret White, of Norfolk and Mrs. Katherine 
Wendell, of Cape Charles; two sons, George Etz, Sr., of Portsmouth and Michael 
Glaxner, of Cape Charles; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and one 
great-great-grandchild.
The body was taken to the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments.

Mrs. Mary Margaret Glaxner - The body of Mrs. Glaxner, widow of Anthony Glaxner, 
who died Friday afternoon at the residence, 1212 West Thirty-eighth Street, will 
be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Blessed Sacrament Catholic 
Church for services this morning at 10 o’clock. Interment will be in St. Mary’s 
Cemetery.
