A native of St. Louis, Mo., he had lived in the area for 30 years. He was a retired chief electrician, USN, and had been retired from the Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, the Fleet Reserve, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, of Norfolk. He was a veteran of World Wars I and II. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Margaret Partin Gleason, two daughters, Mrs. Mary Dia(rest illegible) and Mrs. Margaret Bussey, both of Augusta, Ga.; two sons, Sgt. Francis J. Gleason, USAF, stationed in Washington, and Seaman Edward W. Gleason, USCG, stationed in Miami, and one brother, William Gleason, of St. Louis, Md. Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Norfolk. Rosary services will be held today at 8:30 p.m. at Snellings Funeral Home.
