Glidewell, 94, of the 3100 block of Shipps Corner Road, formerly of the 1300 block of Harmott Ave., Norfolk, died Aug. 24, 1987, in a hospital. Mr. Glidewell, a native of Sedon, Ala., was the widower of Carrie Drummond Glidewell. He was a Protestant and a retired jewelry store owner and watch repairman. He was a member of John Walters Royal Arch 68, Knights Templar Grice Commandery 16, Khedive Temple and a charter member of Ruth Masonic Lodge 86. Survivors include two sisters, Clausie Francis of Oklahoma City and Audrey Melton of Denton, Texas; and brother, Herrell Glidewell of Hawkins, Texas. The graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in Magnolia Cemetery, Norfolk, by the Rev. Sam Austin. Kellum Funeral Home is handling arrangements. The family will be at the residence.
