A son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Godfrey, he was a native of Norfolk and had made his home here all of his life. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hattie Glazebrook Godfrey; three half-brothers, Henry, Edward and James Godfrey, of Norfolk and a half-sister, Mrs. Maggie Powell also of Norfolk. Mr. Godfrey was a member of Tidewater Council 16, Jr. O.U.A.M. and Chesapeake Tribe, I.O.R.M. The body was removed to the Graham Funeral Home, 124 East Berkley Avenue, where funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
