Norfolk Virginian October 19, 1886
Hunter Godfrey, aged 24 years, a nephew of Dr. H. T. Hunter, died at the residence 
of the latter, on Fenchurch street, Sunday morning, after a long and painful 
illness of consumption. The deceased was highly spoken of by all who knew him.
His funeral took place yesterday at 12 M., from his uncle's residence and was 
largely attended, Black Hawk Tribe of Red Men attending in a body. Rev. J. L. 
Barrows, D.D., conducted the services and the remains were interred in Elmwood 
Cemetery.
