Virginian-Pilot October 15, 1964
NORFOLK - Mrs. Ruth Plummer Godfrey, 61, wife of A. Clarke Godfrey and daughter 
of Mrs. Minnie Bossout Plummer and the late Charles C. Plummer, a lifelong 
resident of Norfolk, died in her home at 9508 Wells Parkway, Wednesday at 7:25 
p.m.
She was a member of Christian Temple, a teacher in the Sunday school many years, 
and a member of Women's Fellowship.
Surviving, besides her husband and mother, are two daughters, Mrs. F. M. 
Pritchard and Mrs. C. E. Downing of North; a sister, Mrs. Thelma Godfrey of 
Virginia Beach; and three grandchildren.
The body will be taken from Ewell & Williamson Funeral Home to Christian Temple 
for a funeral service Friday at 2 p.m., by Dr. Frank Hamilton. Burial will be in 
Elmwood Cemetery.
