Godwin, about 30 years old, died at Black Mountain yesterday at 2 o'clock after an illness of several years. He was a son of the late L.W.N. Godwin, well known in this section. Mrs. Godwin is survived by his widow and mother, who are in Black Mountain and will accompany the body, which will arrive here today. The funeral service will be announced later. ******************************************************************* The funeral of William L. Godwin, who died in Black Mountain, N.C., will be conducted at the residence of his mother, Mrs. Columbia Fentress Godwin, 119 Walnut Street, this morning at 11 o'clock by Rev. J.F. Morgan, pastor of the First Christian Church. Berkley Camp W.O.W. of which the deceased was a member will attend the services in a body. Burial will be in the family lot in Magnolia Cemetery.
