Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark October 30, 1912

W. E. Godwin died at his residence, 634 Woodis Avenue, yesterday afternoon at 3:30 
o'clock after a long illness in the sixty-seventh year of his age. He had lived in 
Norfolk 56 years and was aa member of the Elizabeth Lodge of Masons.
He is survived by a widow and one son, W.E. Godwin, Jr., of this city. 
The funeral will take place from the family residence Thursday afternoon at 3 
o'clock, the services to be conducted by Rev. R.A. Robinson, pastor of the Colley 
Avenue Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
