Virginian-Pilot March 19, 1917
Gilmer Goffigon, aged 48 years, died yesterday at 2:45 p.m. at the residence, 224 
East Twenty-sixth street, following a long illness. Funeral arrangements have not 
been completed. Besides his wife, he is survived by six brothers, Cumston, of 
Norfolk; James, Kemper, J. Milton, Clifford and E. Goodwin Goffigon, of the 
Eastern Shore, Va.; four sisters, Mrs. W. E. Thomas of Newport News; Mrs. W. S. 
Spady, Mrs. Marion Scott and Mrs. George T. Jarvis of the Eastern Shore.
