Virginian-Pilot June 29, 1920
Mrs. Mamie B. Goffigon, widow of Gilmer Goffigon, and daughter of the late George 
T. and Lottie Smith Ballentine, died yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock. She was 43 
years old and was a native of Norfolk. Surviving her is one sister, Mrs. George W. 
Tyrrell, of Perth Amboy, N.J. The funeral services will be held Wednesday 
afternoon at 4 o'clock at H. D. Oliver's funeral apartments, 610-612 East 
Freemason street, Rev. Stuart Nye Hutchison, D.D., pastor of the First 
Presbyterian church, officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery.
