Norfolk Virginian Pilot February 11, 1947

Anthony Joseph Gonzales, 28, husband of Mrs. Grace William Gonzales and son of 
the late Joseph and Mrs. Maria Ventura Gonzales, died at a local hospital 
yesterday at 1:20 a.m. Mr. Gonzales was a lifelong resident of Norfolk, residing 
at 411 East Freemason Street at the time of his death. Besides his wife, he is 
survived by three sisters, Mrs. William T. Crump, Mrs. John S. Houmis and Mrs. 
B. Felto and one brother, Joseph Gonzales, all of Norfolk.
The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to St. Mary's 
Catholic Church for services Wednesday at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. 
Mary's Cemetery. 
Rosary services will be held at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments today at 7 
p.m.

Anthony Joseph Gonzales - Funeral services for Mr. Gonzales, who died Monday, 
were conducted at St. Mary’s Catholic Church yesterday at 10 a.m. by the Rev. E. 
C. Kiefer. The Rev. P. C. Blackburn was present in the sanctuary. Interment was 
in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Pallbearers were B. J. Carlo, Leon Lettres, Joe Portafe, 
Horace Vick, Anthony Panello and John Knight.
