Virginian-Pilot February 16, 1917
News was received here yesterday of the death of John Breckenridge Goode in New 
York last Wednesday. A brother of Judge James U. Goode of Norfolk, and a son of 
the late John and Sallie Urquhart Goode, he was well known throughout the State. 
His body will be brought here for funeral and burial. The services will be held at 
noon tomorrow at the home of his brother, 321 Boush street. They will be conducted 
by Rev. David Howard, rector of St. Luke's Episcopal church. Mr. Goode is survived 
by two daughters, Mrs. R. E. Lee Taylor and Miss Claire Randolph Goode, both of 
Baltimore; one son, Stuart Symington Goode; a sister, Mrs. W. T. Brooke of 
Norfolk; and a brother, Judge James U. Goode.
