VIRGINIA BEACH - Mrs. Miriam Jones Goode, 78, of 1605 Moores Lane, the wife of 
Gerald Lee Goode and a native of Baltimore, died Tuesday in a Norfolk hospital.
She lived in this area most of her life. She retired from the Supply Department 
of Norfolk Naval Air Station after 31 years. She was a member of Freemason 
Street Baptist Church, Norfolk.
Other survivors include two sons, Joseph G. Claud of Tyron, N.C., and Waring W. 
Claud of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. Darrell A. Stratton of Coloma, Wis.; and four 
grandchildren.
The body was taken to Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel. A funeral 
will be held today at 3:30 p.m. in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk, by Dr. William L. 
Lumpkin. The family will be at 5720 Kevin Court in Norfolk. The family suggests 
that flowers be omitted and memorial donations may be made to the Heart Fund or 
to the Virginia Lung Association, 5349 E. Princess Anne Road, Norfolk.
