A funeral service was held Sunday at Queen Street Baptist Church for Mrs. Allora 
Goode, 54, of 721 Mozart street who died in a local hospital on April 27.

The Rev. J. Jasper Freeman officiated at the rites and burial was in Calvary 
Cemetery under direction of Graves Funeral Home.

A resident of Norfolk for 53 years, Mrs. Good was the daughter of the late Mr. 
and Mrs. James Rencher. She was born in Newport News.

Mrs. Good was a member of Olive Grove Baptist Church and its choir and usher 
board.

Survivors include her husband, Allen Goode Sr.; two sons, Allen Goode Jr. of 
Norfolk and James Thomas of Maine; four sisters, Mrs. Beulah Land of Norfolk and 
Mrs. Nellie Jamison of New York City, Mrs. Gatha Jones and Mrs. Dorothy Burton 
of Norfolk; two brothers, James Rencher Jr. of New York and Lloyd Rencher of 
Norfolk; and an aunt, Mrs. Elizabeth Chavis of Raleigh, NC.
