Goodman A telegram was received yesterday announcing the death of J.B. Goodman of Elizabeth City, N.C., but formerly of Norfolk, which occurred in the former city. Mr. Goodman was a prominent mill contractor and had resided in Elizabeth City during the past four or five years. He is survived by his widow. The body is expected to arrive over the Norfolk and Southern Railroad at 8:15 o’clock this morning. It will be taken to the grave in Elmwood Cemetery for interment. ŭLedger-Dispatch, Tues., Jan. 6, 1914, pg. 15 The remains of J.B. Goodman formerly of Norfolk, who died in Elizabeth City, N.C., where he had been living for five years, arrived here this afternoon at 4:40 o’clock, over the Norfolk Southern Railroad, and will be taken to Elmwood Cemetery, where Rev. J.A. Thomas, of Cumberland Street M.E. Church will officiate at the grave. He was a prominent mill contractor. He is survived by his wife. Virginian-Pilot, Wed., Jan. 7, 1914, pg. 2 J.B. Goodman, a former resident of Norfolk who died in Elizabeth, N.C., was buried yesterday in Elmwood Cemetery. The services at the grave were conducted by Rev. J.A. Thomas of the Cumberland Street M.E.
