Norfolk Journal and Guide, Aug 28,1965
New York - Robert Goodman Jr., formerly of Norfolk, was given final rites 
recently at Cecelia Church in New York City.  Burial was in the family plot in 
Norfolk’s Calvary Cemetery, with Graves Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Goodman, widower of Mrs. Edith Goodman, died in a New York hospital.  The 
son of the late Robert  and Mrs. Nannie Goodman Sr., he was retired from the New 
York Times, where he worked for more than 40 years.  He was a member of the 
Knights of Columbia and the Holy Name Society.
Surviving are four cousins, Everett Johnson and Mrs. Julia Harris of New York, 
and Mrs. Nannie Foreman and Mrs. Connie Bryant of Norfolk.
