Norfolk Virginian Pilot September 16, 1949

Mrs. Eliza Anne Goodson, 70, widow of Charles A. Goodson, died in a Norfolk 
hospital yesterday at 4:30 a.m. after a short illness.
She was a native of Rockingham County, N.C. and had been a resident of Norfolk 
41 years. She resided at 1002 West 41st Street.
Mrs. Goodson was a daughter of the late Thomas A. and Mrs. Peninah Ewell Boyles. 
She was a member of the Burrows Memorial Baptist Church and the Women's Benefit 
Association.
She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Laura Austin and Mrs. Margaret Reid, both 
of Norfolk and several nieces and nephews.
The body will be taken from the James V. Derry Funeral Chapel to Burrows 
Memorial Baptist Church for funeral services tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. Burial will 
be in Elmwood Cemetery.
