Virginian-Pilot February 25, 1966
NORFOLK - Mrs. Mary Quackenbush Goodson, 57, of 3649 Henrico St., the wife of 
Andrew J. Goodson and a daughter of the late Claud and Mrs. Florence Howren 
Quackenbush, died in a hospital Thursday at 1:40 a.m.
A lifelong resident of Norfolk, she was a Methodist and worked several years for 
Mason's Seafood Restaurant
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Samples, and a 
son, Luther J. Goodson, both of San Diego, Calif., and five grandchildren; also 
three nieces, Mrs. Gladys Fisher of Portsmouth, Mrs. Virginia McBride of Norfolk 
and Mrs. Juanita Mayhew of Mt. Holly, N.C.; and a nephew, Wesley Bright of New 
York.
A funeral service will be conducted in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Sunday at 3 
p.m. by the Rev. Raleigh O. Baker Jr. of Norview Baptist Church. Burial will be 
in Elmwood Cemetery.
