Mrs. Ada G. Goodwin of 1412-A Shipp avenue, who died at her home after a long 
illness, was given a funeral service recently at Bethlehem Baptist Church with 
the Rev. J. Q. A. Lassiter officiating.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

Mrs. Goodwin was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. David Makry and was the 
widow of Joe Goodwin.  She was a native of Whartontown, MD and lived in Norfolk 
more than 50 years.  She served on the Bethlehem Baptist usher board for more 
than 20 years.

Survivors include two daughters, Miss Dorothy Boykins and Mrs. Georgiana Perry;  
one grandson, Willie V. Gorham;  a granddaughter, Miss Yvonne Jones;  a great 
granddaughter, Miss Gwendolyn Gorham;  a son - in - law, E. S. Perry;  and other 
relatives.
