Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark February 22, 1916
Mrs. Alida Lauretta Goodwin

Mrs. Lida Lauretta Goodwin, wife of Samuel W. Goodwin, died yesterday afternoon at 
her residence, 4312 Colonial avenue.  She is survived by her husband and one 
daughter, Mrs. W.C. Arrington; one brother, Trimm Harrell of North Carolina.  She 
was a native of North Carolina but had lived in Norfolk 23 years and was highly 
esteemed.  Funeral will take place at the residence Wednesday at 3 p.m. conducted 
by Rev. J.A. Anderson of Park Avenue Baptist church.  Burial in Elmwood.
