Goodwyn, 86, a retired Maury High School teacher, formerly of 1320 Stockley Gardens, died in a hospital Thursday. A native of Warren County, she had lived in Norfolk since 1920. She was the daughter of the late Confederate Capt. Junius A. Goodwyn and Mrs. Eugenia Littlejohn Field Goodwyn. She was a member of Christ and St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Great Bridge Chapter of Daughters of American Revolution, and Pickett-Buchanan Chapter of United Daughters of the Confederacy. She was a member of National Educational Association and state and local educational groups. She is survived by a niece, Mrs. W. D. Troxell of Culpepper, and a nephew, Charles A. Goodwyn of Virginia Beach. A funeral service will be held in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments today at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
