Virginian Pilot September 23,1966

John Sharpley Gordon of 561 Garren Ave., a son of the late Cornelius Teagle and 
Mrs. Alice Whitehurst Gordon, died in a hospital Thursday at 7:50 a.m.
He was a lifelong resident of Norfolk.
He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Alice Virginia Barrett of Virginia Beach 
and Miss Mary W. Gordon and Miss Margaret Gordon of Norfolk; and a brother, 
Russell V. Gordon of Washington.
The body will be taken from Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, to 
Elmwood Cemetery for a funeral service Saturday at 11 a.m. to be conducted by 
the Rev. Emory Elmore of Nimmo Methodist Church.
