"Mother" of First Cavalry buried

NORFOLK - Mrs. Mary F. Gordon, of Avenue C, 87 years old, and voted "mother" of
First Calvary Baptist Church, who died Wednesday, March 8, was buried from this
church following funeral services Monday, Mar. 13.  Mrs. Gordon had been a
resident of Norfolk for 58 years.  She is survived by 52 offsprings and one
brother.  The offsprings include two sons, five daughters, 25 grandchildren, 19
great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
  Interment took place in Calvary Cemetery.

I could not find Mary F. Gordon in the cemetery listings.
