Robert Douglas Gordon Jr., 83, of the 8400 block of Chesapeake Blvd., a retired 
brickmason, died June 14, 1990, in a hospital.

Mr. Gordon, a Norfolk native, had retired from Snow Jr. & King and was a member of 
Brickmasons Union No. 2 for 68 years. He was a Catholic.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Warr Gordon; two daughters, Alice G. Buchanan 
of Chesapeake and Dorothea G. Bosley of Virginia Beach; a son, Robert G. Gordon of 
Virginia Beach; two sisters, Evelyn G. Merritt and Margaret G. Wilgus, both of 
Virginia Beach; a brother, William T. Gordon of Ayden, N.C.; 11 grandchildren and 
11 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, 
Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Richard Risser. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. 
Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home and other 
times at the residence.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or to the food 
pantry of the Episcopal Church of the Ascension.
